Calgary or Ottawa - Test and Automation Solutions Consultant

Precision Recruiting is currently engaged exclusively with this
company to attract a Test and Automation Solutions Consultant for the
team in the Ottawa, Ontario or Calgary, Alberta area.

What you will do:

You will provide presentations and pre-sales technical support focused
on exhibiting value to the company’s customers. You will use your
knowledge of testing in the communications technologies to help solve
real-world business challenges with the award winning solutions
provided by this company.

What is needed to succeed?

• A minimum of 5 years experience in a testing or similar position
• Must have scripting and programming capability (Tcl/Tk, Expect,
Wish) for creating automated tests
• Extensive knowledge of data communications concepts
• Comprehensive knowledge of TCP/IP, VPN, 802.XX, ATM and VoIP
technologies
• Strong understanding of Layer 2-7 concepts including routing,
switching, and protocols coupled with specific knowledge of OSPF,
ISIS, BGP, IPv6, and SSL
• Familiarity of Application level protocols (HTTP, FTP, DNS, TELNET,
etc.)
• Knowledge Security Devices (firewall, load balancing, IDS, IPS)
• Expertise and experience with VoIP solutions an asset
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills to both technical
audiences and management
• A BSEE/BSCE or equivalent education certificate is required
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
• Strong team player
• Capability to proactively contribute to pre-sales initiatives
• Ability and willingness to travel within Canada
