What you could do?
In our manufacturing plant you may be responsible for;
- Moving materials (i.e. lumber) around the plant to organize it for production.
- Identifying defects in lumber and pulling it from production.
- Setting saws up to cut the lumber at the required lengths.
- Moving joists into bundles and wrapping them for distribution.
- Operating a forklift to move materials around the yard.
- Operating equipment that feeds lumber through an automated system.
All of the jobs on the plant floor are considered to be safety sensitive. At Jager we believe in safe productivity and ensure the safety programs we have in place are followed.
Who we are looking for?
As a manufacturing plant that produces engineered wood products, we require people who have enthusiasm, dedication and are physically able to perform manual labour. Ideally you have a high school diploma, or will have been close to achieving your diploma. In addition, you will be able to work in a fast paced environment and have the ability to be flexible in the shifts you work and the tasks you complete.
We will be honest, the jobs we have to offer are physically demanding, however, the processes that you will get to learn are interesting and the supervisors who coach and mentor you are supportive.
Compensation:
We have a increase in pay after 30 days.
